About Us

Bluelight Group

Blue Light was born in July 2022 in Xanthi, Greece — a city where cultures, traditions, and ideas come together in harmony. We are an informal youth group of seven students from five different professions, united by one shared belief: that small actions can light up the world.

Our journey began with a simple but powerful goal — to protect our environment and inspire young people to act for a greener, more compassionate future. Beyond our ecological mission, we aim to create a culture where young people truly listen to each other, respect different perspectives, and build bridges through understanding and reconciliation.

Our members come from diverse academic and professional backgrounds — from navigation and engineering to pedagogy, architecture, and translation. This diversity enriches our ideas and helps us see global issues from multiple angles. Some of us have already taken part in Erasmus+ youth projects, gaining valuable experience in teamwork, leadership, and intercultural exchange. Others have been active in local initiatives, such as cleaning rivers and beaches, planting trees, organizing youth festivals, and painting kindergartens to create colorful spaces for children.

Despite being a young and dynamic group, we face challenges — especially limited financial resources for our activities. However, our strength lies in our dedication, creativity, and teamwork. Every project we do is built on the voluntary efforts and personal contributions of our members.

Through Erasmus+ projects, we aim to overcome our limitations, connect with young people from different countries, and create opportunities that promote environmental awareness, cultural understanding, and youth dialogue.

For us, Blue Light symbolizes hope, peace, and the brightness of youth — a light that never fades, no matter how dark the night.
