The Blue Light Will Not Go Out: Bluelight Group Walks Towards the Future with Erasmus+
Born in Xanthi in July 2022, Bluelight Group is an informal youth initiative founded by seven students from different disciplines united by a shared vision: “Small actions can illuminate the world.” Coming from a wide range of fields, from architecture to maritime studies, pedagogy to translation, the members came together believing that diversity fuels creativity. The group’s main goal is to raise environmental awareness, encourage young people to engage in ecological action, and build a youth culture that respects different perspectives and is focused on dialogue.
Since its inception, despite limited financial resources, Bluelight Group has undertaken tangible local projects such as river cleaning, tree planting, and kindergarten painting through the voluntary efforts and personal contributions of its members. Now, it is gaining an international dimension with Erasmus+ projects. Through this program, the group aims to build bridges with young people in different countries, create environmental awareness, and strengthen intercultural dialogue. They see Erasmus+ projects as a way to overcome financial constraints and expand their impact. For the Bluelight Group, “Blue Light” symbolizes an enduring energy of hope, peace, and youth that illuminates the darkness.
